Mitchley House
Mitchley House cares for Looked after Children and young people aged between
Four and eighteen years of either gender for short, medium- or long-term placements.
This includes children and young people who are:
• Suffering with low self-esteem or lack confidence
• Emotionally or behaviorally challenged with associated mental health problems
or learning difficulties/autism
• The victims of abuse or domestic violence
• Sibling groups
• Children at risk of CSE
• Children at risk of going missing
• Children with learning disabilities
• Unaccompanied minors
• Are partially or profoundly deaf. Mitchley House cannot accommodate children and young people with a serious drug or alcohol dependency
• Who have a conviction of arson?
• Who are high risk absconders (e.g. history of missing for weeks or months at a time)


Features
Mitchley House has been decorated to a high standard with a modern, homely feel. The home benefits from a modern and spacious kitchen with a separate diner. The house has had minor adoptions aesthetically to incorporate a more child focused decor.
A planning application has been approved by Croydon Council for change of use from C3 to C3B, in line with the council’s guidance and the property under discussion comprises of 4 bedrooms and a maximum of three children will be housed at this property. The Property also has a cabin house which is decorated to very high standards and offers additional living spaces to children.
